Terms of Service

Pundit is a free-to-play, skill-based prediction contest for esports matches (currently CS2 and Dota 2). You predict match outcomes, your results are scored, and you climb a leaderboard and a rating ladder. Doing well takes analysis and knowledge of the games and teams.

This is not gambling. During the beta there is no entry fee, no stake, and no wager — you never put money (or anything of value) at risk on an outcome, and you cannot lose anything you paid. There are no real-money prizes: points, ranks, titles and leaderboard positions are for status and fun only and have no cash value (see section 6).

Pundit is currently a closed, invite-only beta. It is a work in progress. Features may change, break, be added, or be removed at any time, and data (including your predictions, points, and rating) may be reset while we test and tune the product.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that match data (which comes from third parties) is always accurate or complete.

During the beta you must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Access for younger users, with parental consent, is planned for the full release but is not available now.

The beta is invite-only. You need a valid invite code to join, you may use Punditonly where it's lawful to do so, and you must give accurate registration details (including a real date of birth). One account per person.

You sign in through our authentication provider (Clerk). You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it. Your username is shown publicly on leaderboards and your profile — don't use a name that impersonates someone else or is offensive.

You agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots, scripts, or automation to place predictions or inflate your standing;
• create multiple or fake accounts, or manipulate the leaderboard or rating (including collusion between accounts);
• break the law, infringe others' rights, or post unlawful, hateful, or abusive content in any social feature;
• probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with the service, its security, or the data providers behind it; or
• resell or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

Points, seasonal scores, Pundit Rating, ranks, titles, cosmetic items, and leaderboard positions are part of the game only. They are not money, not a balance, and not redeemable for cash or anything of monetary value. You don't own them, we may adjust, recalculate, or reset them (for example to fix scoring bugs or between seasons), and they may be removed if your account is suspended or closed.

We may suspend, restrict, or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used to cheat or defraud the contest, or where we're required to by law. Where it's reasonable to do so we'll tell you why. You can stop using Pundit and ask us to delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled when you do.

As the product evolves during the beta we may update these terms. When we make a material change we'll update the version label at the top of this page and, where appropriate, ask you to agree again. Continuing to use Pundit after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Because the beta is free and provided as-is, to the fullest extent permitted by law Pundit OÜ is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, points, or rating, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Estonian or EU law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, and the courts of Estonia have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
